During the Software Information Industry Association’s (SIIA) prestigious awards ceremony held this evening, Wibu-Systems was awarded the association’s coveted CODiE award for the Best Digital Rights Management System. Wibu-Systems received the award for developing the CodeMeter System, known for securing software, documentation, media and controlling access to internet based applications.
Mr. Marcellus Buchheit, President and CEO of Wibu-Systems USA Inc and Chairman of the Board for Wibu-Systems AG, was in San Francisco and had this to say after learning that CodeMeter was being recognized by the SIIA, “On behalf of the CodeMeter development team and all of my colleagues in Germany and the USA and our many customers who supported our nomination, I gratefully accept this coveted award.”
The CodeMeter system has received other industry awards for both functionality and design. And being named a CODiE Winner continues the legacy of “recognition for excellence”, which began shortly after the product was announced. Wibu-Systems broke new ground with the CodeMeter concept: Creating, not only a whole new business model for securing digital assets with hardware, but also providing a sophisticated license management system; thereby enabling new revenue streams for software developers. CodeMeter works with all versions of Windows, Mac OS X and certain versions of Linux and Sun Solaris.
