New project Pro-Protect protects manufacturers against product counterfeiting
Karlsruhe – Whether we look into sports shoes, motor driven saws, screws or even brake pads for cars – product pirates are counterfeiting small, spare parts… or the complete machines used to produce them. Four German companies with diverse technologies, ranging from CAD software, machine construction and Digital Rights Management and one German research institute formed an alliance in 2007, named Pro-Protect. Their aim was to provide effective solutions to the manufacturing sector that would prevent the costly counterfeiting of their products. The resulting solutions protect the complete value-added chain, from the suppliers, through distributors and clear through to customers

First “Beijing IT Day” organized by eight European IT companies to occur on March 5, 2008
Karlsruhe – After the enormous success of the first Shanghai IT Day last November, eight European companies are now extending an open invitation to all interested parties to attend the first “Beijing IT Day” to be held the morning of March 5th at the Capital Club, Beijing. IBB I&C Technology assume responsibility for the organisation. The lectures will be focused on management software (ERP), IT security and IT infrastructure as well as discussing actual case studies.
